This forum is hard to figure out. I was saying that I just cooked a 18 lb turkey yesterday. I had a hard time keeping temp with just charcoal and cherry chunk.

There should be orchards somewhere near you.... they have tree trimmings... probably cheap or free.... look for apple, peach, pear, or nut tree orchards... pecan is good... walnut is powerful and some say nasty....
Find tree trimmers.... most hardwoods are excellent....

I or a friend or two cut down trees to get cooking wood.

What are you cooking on?
