I am starting the long process of looking at smoker trailers. I currently cook on the UDS smokers I have built. I am curious about what brands are the most reliable, easiest to cook on, or just all around the better smokers. I am also wondering about the change im  gonna have to make to most of my cooking techniques as I am normally cooking directly above the heat as opposed to an offset smoker. Planning to spend around 4k +/- 500. Thanks and looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks.

First let me say I am a "patio pitmaster" aka backyard weekend warrior, and therefore really don't have a dog in the fight....  I really like the look of the Jambo Pits.

Having said that, when shopping for a new piece of equipment, I usually relly on the review of others narrow it down to my wants, needs and desires to a short list, and go from there.

In this case I think Meathead over at Amazing Ribs has done a decent job of big rig reviews: http://www.amazingribs.com/BBQ_buye..._capacity_restaurant_and_trailer_smokers.html
