so im thinking of drilling two holes in the sides of my Dynaglow offset smoker
and hooking up a Rotisserie,

looking for opinions on doing this. good ,bad, ugly ?

thinking of using those threaded tubes that you see on lamps on each side with nuts,
and a threaded cap when not using it,
at this moment im just brainstorming,

would have to shove the stick and un-stick the chicken IN the smoker, so that would be a pain,

Getting stuff in and out would be a nightmare unless you cut grooves for the pole to slide on. Would introduce a lot of leaking..

I built a 74" spit/rotisserie for my 70" wide air tank cooker. Lots to work out, but I put one end in at a time through holes on each end & through slotted silicone seals, then connect to motor & add counter balance to other end. This was planned for smoking/cooking three 25 lb. turkeys at once (has two rotisserie burners), a whole hog or two suckling pigs. No sweat to pull off if I have a friend assist.
