Hey folks,
I want to put some pavers or something similar down, as my Q-ing area. But after 10 years in Florida (80 miles below Tampa) I have not yet figured out how to stop grass from growing. I have another area where I put multiple layers of visquine down, and then the pavers on top. After a couple of months, grass grows right on up through the black plastic. I also poisoned the ground first with something that assured nothing would grow where it was used. Sure, my lawn just laughed at that stuff.

Dang, stuff grows too well here. Anyone have a solution?

Steve go to a good plant nursery and ask for the same weed block mat they use there. Its a much better quality then what the box stores sell and lasts much longer.

I'm not sure how this would work in your area, but here some folks put down layers of wet newspapers, landscape fabric, sand, then the pavers. I wish you luck my friend.

Steve I have a walkway and deck that is made of full thickness pavers on a shell gravel/sand base. I get a few weeds that pop up but a spritz of roundup takes care of them pretty well.
