hey everyone I got my first Bow the other day and thought I needed to share it with all of you.

Well i have been wanting to get into bow hunting for a while so this year is going to be my first. I really didn't want to spend $1000 plus on my first bow but i also didn't want to buy somethig that i would not want to shoot and give up the whole idea. so here it is after many many hours searching online and missing every good deal i could find I bought this bow off a buddy of mine for $75 who upgraded to a Mathews Switchback. this is a Browning it has no sights or release (he kept them for his new bow) so if anyone on here has some laying around taking up room feel free to send them to me and i will be sure to send you some hog meat.

nice looking bow but what i want to see is the first kill followed by the first smoke by using the bow! maybe a deer or a hog?

we are going to start putting out corn soon at my buddys property hoping to get a few hogs soon!! this is all new to me so its gonna be fun.

nice to see ya into hunting... just a tip, for best results and to make it more enjoyable, make sure that the bow fits your body... you want to measure your draw length and be sure the bow is correct for you. i know it was a good deal and all from a friend, but if it dont fit it wont work out well. hopefully you are lucky and it happens to match up. hopen them hogs show up for ya!!! we all looking forward to the pics.

my draw length is 29.5 and i think this bow is set at 29". he was not sure as to what it is but he shoots at 29". I;m not sure of the draw weight he said he thinks its at 65lbs. I think I'm gonna drop a few lbs on the draw weight but other than that it seems to fit me good.

I plan on going to a archery shop soon to get a new string put on it and make sure it is set right for me. I'm not sure but i think the peep sight is a little low on the string for me but I'll find all that out at the archery shop.

Congrats! You'll love bow hunting! Glad to hear you're going to a pro shop; they'll get you started right. When you get proficient, introduce someone else to our great sport and keep the tradition going strong!

sounds like ya got it all under control... good for you that it will all work out
