I put on my first brisket today. It was around 4.5 lbs. I did a light coat of EVOO and then coated with salt/pepper and garlic salt. Placed in the Charbroil smoker around 225 for about 4 hours. I found that it stuck on 163 degrees for about 45 minutes before going up some more. I wrapped it at 170, brought it to 200 and then put it in towels and into a cooler for a few hours to rest. Very easy to do and I was happy with the results. Thanks for the advice on here.

I have found that at the bottom of the "forum" drop down menu in the Just for Fun section there is a "test" page...I still use it to this day... great place to figure out your computer on this site (or my case all I have is my phone.. which differs alot from the desktop version of the forum) just an idea. Amd Welcome to SMF..
