I never seen a blue flame. Just yellow

It splits pretty easy and cut really easy in the chop saw figured it wouldn't burn that hot. It's 20 million btu per cord. White Oak and apple are 24. Sugar maple is 24. If u want a real hot one try live oak 36 million btu per cord. There's a few around me too. I'm happy with the walnut tho. I'm Gina use some on a brisket soon

I'm calling the whole walnut being bad wood to smoke with a myth and hear say. That pork tenderlion was delicious. Next night it was even better reheated in the microwave. Give it a try guys if u can find some u won't be disappointed. I'm not saying use it 100% but 25% and some other woods

I'm cooking a 6.5 pound flat right now 4 hours in. Can't seem to find the blue flame in this walnut. Cooking with oak and cherry and some walnut.
