Hello gang! I'm use to smoking one big brisket every Super Bowl but this year I'm going to change it up and have a couple different flavors. My question is about time with 2 pieces instead of one. My 15lb brisket would take around 15 hours or so to smoke. Having two 10lb pieces of meat will it take shorter time because they are both 10lb instead of 15? Or having two pieces of meat totaling 20lb take longer? I smoke around 225. Thanks for your time!

Cook time is based on the mass of the individual piece you are cooking. It doesn't matter if you are cooking one 10lb brisket or five - cook time will be roughly the same as long as the food is not crowded.

Thanks for the info! I kind of figured that.

Brisket can be difficult. I like to give myself extra time.
I have had smaller briskets take longer than bigger briskets.
It's done when it's done.
Usually smoke mine 275 275
Whatever temp that works for you is fine.

My new go-to is 225 for two hours, spraying with apple cider vinegar and apple juice mix every 30 minutes, then jumping to 350 until internal hits 180 (which does not take very long) then wrapping in butcher paper till 204 and resting at least an hour, but not in an insulated container to prevent carry over cooking going too far.
The results are fantastic bark and juicy meat.
You can shorten the overall cook time by several hours and still enjoy great brisket.
