Got the niece and nephew for the weekend. They are four, twins. They like bbq.

would like to cook a bbq which they can help prepare and enjoy.

hot dogs in buns just doesn’t sound like fun and is the only thing I’m can come up with.

Any suggestions?

Pork shots, fatty, moinks, ribs to name a few.

My kids like to make "hot dog burnt ends" its fun and easy. And helps learn some cutting skills because they can use a butter knife to cut the hot dogs. Can also use other meats like a bologna chub to cut up or even spam. Smoked meat loaf is a good one too. Its fun for them to mix with there hands and also another good lesson on keeping hands clean before and after handling meats. But that one could get a little messy lol. Also smoked mac n cheese is something they could put together.

Not sure what kind of smoker or grill you had but kids love making pizza. My 6 year daughter lives for spreading out dough adding sauce and cheese and watching it cook. Can easily cook on smoker or grill if you have the means!

BBQ chicken legs is the first thing that pops into my mind? Who doesn't like a grilled or smoked chicken leg covered in BBQ sauce? It's food with a handle. Grab a roll of paper towels and let the fun begin!

Are they old enough , and do you have the means to let them roast the dogs over and open fire ? Then you could do smores for dessert .
