I would like to smoke/bake potatoes tomorrow. I can not find any information on how to do this. Can anyone help?? Thank you

I rub them with oil and salt them. Put them in the smoker and let them go for at least 2 hours. You can speed up the cooking if you stick a metal rod trough the tater. And if there really big could be 3 hours. You can also take a fork and poke them full of holes. I think you get a little better smoke penetration.
 
The basic info that you are looking for is that you want the potatoes to reach an internal temp of 195F. I can't give you a cooking time, it depends on how big they are, the type you use and lots of other variables. I would count on about 3 hrs, give or take.

I do them this way a lot too.....rub in olive oil and season with kosher salt and cracked black pepper. They are simple but good!

You need to try twice baked too...and scalloped....and....smoked then fried. There are a lot of options and they are all good. :)
 
FYI, I just did potatoes on my smoker. 225* for 2 hrs was not enough for large potatoes. Next time I'll start them sooner and use a thermometer until I get the hang of it.
