Okay, so here it is!  Just cooked 5 butts on it over the weekend.  First cook to try it out.  I was working on the trailer wiring while cooking, so I was working double duty with my dad.

Spent many hours on this baby over the last two months or so.  My dad said he hasn't worked that hard in 20 years.  Me too!  On top of getting a great smoker out of the deal, my dad and I got to spend some great quality time together.  We haven't done that in years.  I see my folks once a week, we go to their house for dinner, but I didn't realize that it wasn't quality time.  We focused on dinner preparation, the kids, etc.  Spending 8+ hours a day with my dad for many days has been amazing, and time that I couldn't buy with any amount of money.  We didn't even know we didn't do it until we did it, if that makes any sense.

It cooked great for the first cook, I have to get used to it.  I do need to work out a few issues though.  There are two racks in it, top and bottom.  The top thermometer is 50 degrees hotter than the bottom.  If the bottom is 250, the top is 300.  I want to be able to have this temperature offset, but at the same time have the ability to make the temps completely even in the cooking chamber.  Any thoughts?

The draft dampers on the fire box are way too small.  I knew that they would be, but they were already in the door, so I wanted to run it and see what it would do.  I left the door cracked the whole time pretty much.

This site has been great for me.  It actually kept me from screwing up big time with the reverse flow plate in the cooking chamber.  I started out with it way too small, but the Feldon's calculator and you alls help, it prevented a big mistake there.  Thank you for all the help!
