Hi everyone

Been reading for a bit, so much great info here. You guys are awesome. So decided to join the club and contribute.

So I have a commercial freezer http://www.missionrs.com/T-49F.html  that I want to covert into a Cold/Hot smoker.

I will have a venturi style SG on the side, two duct fans installed on the bottom and two electric stove elements to provide heat. they will be controlled by a PID.

A question I have is I only have access to 110v. Would 2 brinkmann 1500w elements give sufficient heat. The range Im looking for is 140-200 f for hot smoking. I have left the insulation in too, for the meantime. I dont think this temp range will cause the insluation any problems. If anyone thinks differently, please let me know.

Ill post pics once I have started the build....

Thanks in advance
