Yeah it seems a little strange. I will say this so2 is not a refrigerant to take lightly. It will take your breath away. It can be dangerous, even fatal. With equipment that old and holding that refrigerant I doubt they would reuse it. I would say let them keep it- fochers

Is that the refrigerant in yours? Mine is dichlorotetrafluoroethane.I'm a hvac service man so I recovered mine. The biggest snag I have is getting all the black stuff out of the inside. It is a pain to say the least. Next I'll finish the inside bottom and then paint- fochers

The left block had the door latch mounted to it. I'm thinking they are there for side to side support of the tub- fochers

Couple questions.... are those wood blocks safe to keep in? Also the bottom is pretty rusted out I'm going to knock all the really rusted part out and cut a piece of sheet metal to cover it. Would primer over the remains bottom be enough- fochers
