    So I popped my smoke cherry today.  Before starting I seasoned the smoker and used the opportunity to get a sense of the temperature in the smoker.  I just used a grill thermometer I picked up at Lowe's and from this I gathered that the MES was reading about 10 degrees low.     First time smoke

    This is my first time using a smoker. I made some ribs and some chicken breast for the kids.
