I have one of those magnificent Slow and sears for sale. I recently built my own smoker & sold my Weber Kettle so figured I would sell my Slow n sear.
These are for sale by ABC new for $90 + $10-$20 shipping.
I will sell it for $70 shipped to you in the CONUS.
Shoot me a PM or even better an...
Sorry it took so long, I ended up having to exchange a few emails back and forth with them for a few weeks. They were really nice, but it was a try this, then try these settings, etc…
Basically in the end I did another factory reset and then put in the following parameters they told me:
P= 30...
I appreciate all the great advice. I am going to pick up a 12 gauge, 25' cord tomorrow for the next smoke... Damn those things are expensive haha
But onto the Auber, the thing I don't understand is when I did my seasoing run, in 20F ambient, it got up to 325, then i do 2 racks of ribs with 35F...
Do you already have the element purchased? Is this for a custom build?
So this is what I got so far.
Auber w/ old extension cord (100' 14 gauge), went from 200-206 in 40 minutes.
Switched extension cord (50' 14 Gauge), plugged directly into element; went from 201-225 in 30 minutes
Now that it...
So I just wanted to check here and see if anyone might have any tips. I will copy & paste my email below to Auber, but I'm basically wondering:
1. If anyone is using the 1800 Brinkmann Replacement Element in freezing conditions (20-32F)? And how hot they can go.
2. If anyone has any suggestions...
Good to know! Thanks for all the insight. They are suppose to be arriving in March. And Triumph let me keep my spot on the pre-order list! So that was cool of them. And I get a gold plated commemorative clutch cover & 1 out of the 250 will win a solid gold clutch cover badge! That would be...
First things first, love the ride! The fur is what does it for me lol really though it is a nice kawa.
I ended up switching my deposit to the 2nd bike, the T120. Main reasons were ergonomics. The Thruxton would probably be a 2 year bike for me till my back hated me so much I wouldn't ride it...
I'm going to have to agree to disagree. While I've only been riding consistently around 9 years I have owned 5 bikes in search of my forever bike (if that actually exists) haha
But with all do respect Harleys are kind of over rated in todays market. You can't knock their history, thats...
First motorcycle I ever rode was a 1968 Triumph Bonnie when I was 12-13 years old. So I'm heading back to my youth.
I'm graduating in May and this will be a present for myself lol but I am stuck on which one to get.
The 1 seater (can get a 2 up seat) is the Thruxton R & the other one is the...
I don't think this is entirely accurate. ThiS is not to knock on you or anything, so please don't take it that way. And Without getting into the specifics of chemical bonding, smoke sticks better to wet surfaces, meat, metal, whatever. This is why people spritz their meat when smoking.
I did the original seasoning run and the temps were spot on, I don't think it was a probe error because my 6.5 lb butt took about 11 hours, so that i felt is fairly typical at 225F.
I will definitely put a secondary temp source next time I smoke to make sure that the probe is working right...
