    Here is is shredded. Im sharing cause I was afraid to go as high as 215 but with the pan and liquid it worked out great. My first risk paid off and my guests were pleased.

    This was my first smoke but this is a rump roast. Smoked on grates til IT was 150 then placed in a pan with onions and a about 2 cups of chicken broth. Covered with foil and let it go back on the smoker till IT was at 215. It was very tender and shreddable.

    Finally I have some time. I will smoke some baby backs, flank steak beef bombs (malcom reed style) and beef roast this weekend. Beef roast will be tricky for sure but im giving it a shot. Basically will smoke it a few hours then finish it in a covered pan with some liquid and onions and shred it...

    Sorry for the late reply. This is the Flag of Acadiana. Painted on 26 guage paint grip sheet metal. And rolled to the correct diameter at a sheet metal shop.

    Foamheart, thanks....next drum will be a true UGLY smoker. I did go to UL Lafayette then left to go to flight school in New Iberia. I grew up in Carencro now im living just west of Carencro and north of Scott.

    Do I really have to go with stainless steel hardware?

    Ok I got off my lazy a!* and went research a little. You're right zinc ain't to friendly. I'm going to a specialty bolt store after work today with a list and ill let them do the searching. S and l bolt Scott Louisiana. They always have anything you need and all you have to do is hand over a list.

    Search doesn't work in tapatalk

    Anyone else having trouble with the search in the mobile app tapatalk? I'm searching words that should pull up like, maverick, uds, ....... even tested with the obvious word, smoke. All that comes up is there are no words that match your search.....or something like that.

    Lid doesn't fit so good!

    I put the ring on tight only on the rim and it is considerably better. So last night put the ring on the barrel rim with the lid on, .....so basically its locked like they come off the shelf when you buy them. I tightened it as much as I could. Maybe this will form the circle a little better...
