I'm originally from Houston so we used to be neighbors. Man I miss some good Texas style BBQ! Have tried using slow cooker and other non-smoker methods but nothing hit the nail perfectly. Look forward to learning more from this forum.- futuredude

No experience whatsoever with smoking meats however have recently developed a keen interest. I'm an American living in the Philippines and sorely miss some of my favorite foods from back home. Figured I could build a smoker and replicate what I crave. Thanks for letting me join.- futuredude
