Even with that amount if i close the lid on the firebox it goes out.
The only way i seem to be able to get a good burn is with my wood stove fan.
its as if there is no air movenmet at all like it has stalled somewhere.
Your unit looks better built than mine!
I tried my wood stove fan and can get the wood to burn.
If i don't i can get over 150 with out almost filling the firebox.
Let me make sure i said it right.
the damper is wide open but when i open the firebox door it flares up.
the stack is wide open as well.
I'm now thinking its the wood its seasoned almond that refuse to burn most times.
this is my firebox it has a wire rack under the wood.
with the damper open door closed the wood refuses to burn it either gets a very low flame or it goes out.
The exhaust is wide open as well.
if you open the firebox door you get a raging inferno close it and it goes out.
