    What is the lowest temp setting on your smoker, it may not be a bad idea to cut it down when she goes to bed. 14 hours at 225 is a very long time for a 9lb butt.

    I always go with a picnic, bone-in, seems to have more flavor. Smoked around 225 for 12 hours. I leave the skin on and placed down to insulate the meat. Don't pull it out until you can stab it with a fork and do a full twist without any resistance. I like to dry rub and spray with apple cider...

    Hello I'm active duty military currently stationed in Norfolk Virginia, from Memphis TN. I currently use a smoke hollow electric smoker. I've been smoking meat for 8 plus years and look forward to all the tips and techniques I can share and retrieve on SMF.
