Okay well I messed that up, I can't think it will be life or death of the smoker! What about on a normal smoke, not break in? Dump chips after pre-heat?
Just opened my MES 2.5 40" I got from SAMs for Father's Day and am seasoning it up now! What a difference from the old smoke hollow! I put my chips in right away before startup and smelled great for awhile but then went a bit sour like they weren't smoking but burning. Do you recommend soaking...
Davenport Iowa here! Been smoking for 18 months on a 30" electric smoke hollow, just upgraded to the new 40" MES 2.5! Been here in the shadows for a long time but have found tons of great stuff!
