    I haven't seen the answer to this question anywhere. Will the uds get hot enough during smoking to burn the outside paint off the barrel? Is it really necessary to pre burn the outside paint from the barrel? My barrel had pure 100% honey in it and the inside is perfectly clean. If the paint will...

    I think I would concentrate in not getting cadium plated hardware. Rt hat stuff will harm you.

    It doesn't appear that the uds will get hot enough in that area to effect the galv coating, I'm using them
