my apprentice
. All I need now are handles, firebox breathers, wood storage, and a paint job. Oh yea and I had to go with a traditional smoker so I could use it this weekend but I do plan on moving the stack and putting in a rf plate later
My beast of a firebox! Still only 95% for what it calls for. Cutting the door an finishing box tomorrow. Hopefully will also be able to start an finish cooking grates as that won't b too hard.
The rain got me a little behind but I was able to get the second door cut and the hole for the fb cleaned up some. Was able to cut the plates for the fb out lastnight and plan on assembly in the am.
Yea I plan on cleaning it up w grinder. The cut only went through the outside of the tank, the inside seam is showing through so if I don't cut it more I will have to fill in on top of the inner seam
. I cut too close to the weld and the seam shows, should I just fill in iver it or go ahead and cut through the rest of the way? The other side is worse so I'm thinking just cut through the rest of the way
I plan on adding at least one more brace to each side connecting the trailer and cc for more stability and cutting out the other door hopefully Wednesday. Have also been flirting with the idea of just going with a traditional smoker instead of rf but can't make up my mind.
. Added a piece of I beam to the middle of the tongue.
. Got one of the cc doors cut out and the tank welded to the trailer.
. This is not a very good pic but got the hole cut for the fb just have to clean it up and get it square and build and mount the firebox
Alright I've got the tank strapped down in place on the trailer have my doors drawn out ready to cut tomorrow and get all the gunk burned out. I plan on cuttin the fb hole and mounting the fb while the tank is on the trailer anybody have any tips besides make sure it's straight? Lol hope I can...
