    on that note i have my bacon cured and in the frig vacuum sealed, is vac sealin ok for bacon or does it need oxygen for the curing process. just curious id hate to ruin 11 lbs of belly.

    i just put 11 pounds in cure in the frig yesterday. vac sealed and got in the frig. ill season then smoke in 7 days. we shall see my first one also

    we had the same problems with my labs. we fed ours canned pumpkin. after its digested it leaves a foul odor in the poop and they wont eat it again. another idea is to feed them pineapple or pineapple juice. or you could add some msg to the dog food. thats just some of the things we did to break...

    hey Dave i have a question. can i just take salmon and cure it in salt then throw it in the smoker to get some smoke flavor. i was thinking i could cure it for 10 days or so in salt then smoke it. am i thinking wrong?

    What is everyone smoking, grilling or stewing for Labor Day 2014

    ive got 4 wild turkeys in the freezer so im thinking about doing a whole smoked turkey if im not out scouting putting up blinds for deer season here in south dakota. archery season is coming fast.
