Hey there!
I have owned a Chargriller Smoking Pro for the last 8 years, and I often leave it uncovered outside. It is STILL not rusted out and the wood actually has help up really well. That being said, I use it as a grill and not as a smoker. I purchased a Brinkman Trailmaster Vertical smoker...
I got the cover in from UPS yesterday, seems to be very sturdy canvas and very well stitched together. Will try and post some pics of it on my unit this weekend. Overall, very pleased.
Sushitampa, I dont think any HD carries the vertical trailmaster in stock, you will probably have to order it...
Welcome friend!
I have the same smoker, purchased it last spring. I wouldnt worry so much about sealing every joint, the main issue will be the main chamber door, that is going to require some love to get a nice seal. There are several ways you can go about it. The stock temp gage is going to...
Looking great!! Wish I didnt have to work today or I would have fired mine up as well. Nice looking smoker and what time should we come by? jk Smoke on brother, looking forward to more Qview!
I bought this smoker last spring after using the cheap Brinkman vertical for a couple years. My door did not close tight, but I filled the gap with some metal putty and then some hi temp black RTV silicone, and worked great. I also sealed all of the joints when assembling it as well. I made the...
Posted this in the Charcoal smoker forum, but in case someone missed it. Home Depot finally has the cover available for their 57" Vertical Trailmaster. Just thought I would let anyone know who has one and was awaiting the cover to be released!
Smoke on!

I used the silicone heavily in the area where the firebox meets the cooking chamber, I wanted no leaks. I sealed anything and everything. Maybe I over did it, who knows, all I can say is mine has no leaks what so ever now. I don't feel adding an additional quality thermo is overkill at all, I...
I recently purchased the Brinkman 57" Vertical from Home Depot. I could not be more pleased with the unit. I did use high temp silicone to seal every joint during assembly, and the main chamber door required quite alot of effort with the silicone to get a good seal when closed, but it does not...
Just had the Trailmaster Vertical offest delivered yesterday, will assemble this weekend. Will take pics of the assembly and and alterations I have to do to get it up and running effectively, as well as any mods in a new thread. Does anyone else own the Vertical unit?
Hello I have to say a HUGE thank you for all of the knowledge I have gleened from reading this site and to all the members whom take the time to share their knowledge of this wonderful art. I began dabbling in smoking meat about two years ago. Needless to say I am now a full blown addict. I...
