Finally got started with the block RF!
This is where I am at so far in the build. This weekend I hope to get the concrete floors into place and maybe finish the block. Any input on what I can do better or concerns and even criticisms are welcome!- nick981

Finally got started with the block RF!
First I want to say thanks to everyone for their knowledge. The process of getting to the starting point has been fun and frustrating.....which in the end will make it more rewarding. Now then, I got started on my intake for the firebox, and decided to make two openings for either side of my grate.- nick981

Good afternoon Ron, I'm just stating on a reverse flow myself, and it's going to be a permanent structure. The inside of both my FB and CC are going to be lined with firebrick. I ran my numbers on the calculator accounting for the firebrick and the square inches that it used up. I would do...- nick981

I know! I have tried to put a profile up twice, but both times I was told to wait while it processed. The first time I had to leave after waiting on it for 25 minutes, and the second time I waited an hour and half. Not sure what is going on with that. I appreciate it Dave. I'm lucky enough to have a brother in the metals fabrication industry that will supply me with whatever I want out of his scrap. I talked to him yesterday and he's sitting on about 5 tons, and a bunch of it is 1/4"......guess I'm going thick now! Thanks for the knowledge.- nick981
