    I saw on BBQ Pit Masters....That they remove the skin to where it is almost off the meat...Then scrape most but not all of the fat off the underside of the skin. ..Flip the skin back over season then grill. You will then be able to bite through the skin, without pulling the skin off.

    Well I tried it again...This time with two handful of lump charcoal and it worked like a charm..Would stay steady at 25o to 225 for a couple hrs before i would have to reload. Saved on using just lump. Did a 15lb brisket On my Brinkmann Trailmaster Limited Edition for 19hrs + 1 in the cooler...

    Was wondering the same thing, so took the element out of my BGS and placed it into the firebox of my new Trailmaster Limited Edition. Couldn't get the temp above 150 degrees. I didn't try it in the cooking chamber. Might give the propane burner a try like above.
