    Grilling on Pickled and Oiled steel

    I have a roughly 4'x4' perforated grate made of pickled and oiled steel.  My first thoughts are that it would be perfect to rig above a campfire, firepit,etc. and use to grill food.  My sole concern is if it is safe to do so or if there are contamination risks from the steel whence it gets hot? ...
