It's not electric its charcoal but its a convection type cooker that you put wood in around the drip pan, just wondering if anyone figured out how to get a smoke ring. My guess is you won't but just thought I would ask. Thanks
Has anyone been able to get a smoke ring out of the Orion cooker? It makes great food just no smoke ring, I'm asking to be able to use this in competitions, I know they are not supposed to judge that but might as well make it look good, the food speaks for itself. Thanks, Kevin

Go Cyclones, Im in Ankeny and what they have been saying about the stall is totally true, frustrating and just makes you wonder "what the heck". Wrap that thing at 165 degrees and it will amaze you how fast the temp rises. Good luck can't wait to see the pics.

I have seemed to notice a difference in the charcoals I have been using. I tried some cheap stuff from Menards and it didn't seem to burn very long. I started using the wicked good charcoal and it seems to burn longer and maybe hotter. Do any of you experts have a charcoal that you might...
I have been smoking meat for two years now. Had a little cheapy smoker last year, until I about burnt down our house when it fell over in the wind. Since then I have moved up to a BGE, which I am still getting used too but everything I have made has turned out well.
