I can't seem to find the MES 400 series smokers - including the MB website. I can find the accessories ok but can't find the smokers. Has the series been discontinued or do I need glasses?
Thanks!
Have lots of pellets to play with so will try some dust and see how it goes - appreciate the thread, didn't get through it all but enough to see it's worth a shot.
Took a little while to source some of the aluminum bits but here it is and it works great. Don't seem to need to do anything special with the pellets - after they've been lit for a while, blow it out, put it in the mailbox and set the fan on low. Variable speed fan was pricey ($29) but good...
All great stuff guys! Didn't know about the circuit issue and where I'm planning on using it, I may not have two different circuits available so really good to know now. Love the popcorn unit - looks about the same size as the trash pail I use for embers.
Sounds like tinkering with building...
Wow, I had no idea mailboxes were a "thing". Read some of the threads and watched some youtube videos - quite interesting and gives me a lot to think about so appreciate the tip!
Haven't been here in a while guys and hoping someone might be able to help. Love my MES30 but finding my AMNPS a little finicky at times. Unfortunately, I cannot find the MB side cold smoker attachment in stock anywhere. Lot's of places list it but they all say "out of stock". It's a...
Glad to see the discussion since I'm a big sous vide fan as well as a fellow smoker. I built my own and then bought a Sous Vide Supreme. There's nothing like taking rib eyes out of the freezer, throwing them in the sous vide at 131 degrees for about an hour, and then searing them on a hot...
Really didn't have trouble lighting them - followed Todd's instructions to the letter and everything worked fine. Since I'm using a cherry/oak mix things to tend to take their time but it was super quick when the pellets were warm/hot. I am careful to keep pellets in a cool dry place but the...
I have a new MES30 and of course, I'm using the AMNPS. I've had two good smokes (pork butt and turkey breast) so everybody is happy (even the wife). I have tried to do as much research as possible with regard to the use of these tools so I think I'm good shape but I do have a quick question. ...

I'm afraid this is all I have at the moment but I'd be happy to grab more. Are you looking for "action shots" (smoking) or just placement shots? Pictures uploaded thus far are low rez but originals are always high rez and can be provided. I will be traveling until next weekend.
Cheers
Gary - I owe you a beer or five. Yeah, that's exactly the problem and most likely the fix. If I reverse the bolt so the nut is on the inside like yours, I should be good to go. Worth a try any who.
Thanks again and after our first successful smoke I'll toast you and this great forum!
Cheers guys
The picture garyinmd provided was exactly what I was looking for. I have the MES30 and just received my AMNPS. Unfortunately my AMNPS will not slide onto the rails next to the chip burner as there is a screw protruding about 1/4" from the chip burner. It's hard to tell what the screw is there...
