Looming for a charcoal smoker - $200 range

Greatly debating between gas and charcoal. Hearing a lot of pros and cons for each. I'm a big time newbie here. If you could recommend a charcoal smoker around the $200 range, what would it be?

    what fuel is best?

Thanks! I sincerely don't know what to do. Seems even propane burns coal and wood for the smoke. Kinda like electric. I wish I knew how much propane gets burned. It just seems like hours upon hours of burning will use a ton of gas.

Going to start smoking....need info on equipment

I am literally just beginning my smoking adventure.  I don't have a ton of $ and am debating between a charcoal smoker and an LP gas smoker.  I was considering getting a Master Forge charcoal smoker from Lowes for $60 or maybe the Master Forge LP gas smoker for $150.  I really don't know which...
