    Actually the fridge is a GE, the noise doesn't bother me but it seems to rattle the families cages when I use it. An added benefit is the little pellet ice is great for use while grinding.

    Just got one myself (Frigidaire) as my fridge makes a hell of a racket when dispensing ice. they do make some fan and pump noise but scooping ice in the middle of the night doesn't wake up the family like the fridge does. I got mine as an impulse buy at Costco... I should not be allowed in...
