The pan is just sitting there to stop the birds and rain. I hope to come up with something that works good. I did a loin,4 butts nd chicken two weeks ago and she cooks great holds temps and don't require a lot of attention.

Great job it looks great. If the gap is not too bad and it's not going to get say over 500 Permatex gasket sealer in the red hi-temp will work. It's the only one thats food safe.
Got the air inlets done today. One is 5" and the other 6". Both schedule 40 6" long. The 5" will go in the firebox door and the 6" on the rear side. Both just below grate level. I'll cut the holes so the pipe sets inside approxamatley 1-2 inches.
