    steve yes i checked them rapid boiling water both at 210 and i always remove the batteries,i only smoke 2-3 times a month helps keep the corrosion out

    never heard of smoking spices but have heard of toasting whole spices before grinding to intensify the flavor

    as i understand it iodized salt should not be used for brining, but don't remember the reason behind it. also the brine should be refrigerated first and the actual brining done under refrigeration. just a rinse after brining to rid of excess salt i also toss the skin

    Cleaning Grates

    after i remove the meat i just wire brush the grates and wipe them down with a wad of paper towels they stay nice and clean.but they are porcelin coated

    hello from new jersey
