    Smoked Turkey Breas*t

Thanks!  How long do you usually smoke it for? Mine is deboned already - any idea what difference that'll make in cook-time? My smoker only goes up to 250 - that'll be okay, right? When I make brisket to slice for lunchmeat (sliced cold and super-thin, with a slicer) I always make it in a pan...

    Smoked Turkey Breas*t

To all the Poultry-Smoking Pros out there: I'd like to smoke turkey breat, and after all my online research, I'm really not clear on method.  End goal: slices of turkey lunchmeat, served cold for sandwiches, etc. Bark is not necessary...  Here's what I've got: 1. Brine for 6 hours to 5 days...

    Vote for Best Electric Smoker

It took me a while to reply - but I decided on the Smokin-it, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. Definitely wins for ease of use by a long shot, and my apartment's not filling up with smoke anymore! Winner.

    Vote for Best Electric Smoker

Wow, thank you all for your input - this has been very helpful. Smokin-It has beyond won the vote, and I'll just have to make a final call. I'm well convinced it's worth the money. Thank you!

    Vote for Best Electric Smoker

Thanks for all the votes. Smokin-it seems to be winning this poll hands down! Seeing that I won't need to be smoking in sub-zero weather or anything near it, and I just saw a sale for Masterbuilt, should I still be opting for Smokin-it? Can anyone tell me anything (good or bad) about the...

    Vote for Best Electric Smoker

Hi! I'm looking to get an electric smoker and I'd like to get a vote of what the best one to buy.  What I'm looking for/reasons I'm going for electric: 1. Smell of charcoal is blowing into my house too much (I've been smoking on my porch - I live in an apartment) 2. Cut the hassle - Right now...

    Smoked Brisket Served Cold

Thanks! I hope to smoke some brisket before the end of the week.  I have the Weber Smokey Mountain 22.5". Would you think I can put one brisket on each rack? If so, should I swap them halfway through smoking time, or just leave 'em be? I wanna make one for us, and another for a friend.

    Smoked Brisket Served Cold

Hi out there to everyone. Here's a question: I'm looking to smoke brisket (hot, till fully cooked), slice it thin, and serve it cold - like cold cuts. Kinda like pastrami, but starting with a fresh brisket instead of corned beef.  Any clue if this will be any good? I'd think what could be bad...

    Newbie ready to Roll!

Hi!  I'm new here, & new to smoking! My Weber Smokey Mt. is due to be delivered to my door any minute, and I'm itching to get a good hunk 'a meat on it already. I'm from LA, and haven't smoked a thing in my life, but I figured better now than never. I'm hoping I can pick up on it pretty quick...
