    Whole Chicken Smoking Rub????

    I have already found some great ideas on here for chicken rubs, but I do have a question. Do you put the rub on the skin or under the skin? Or both? Or butter under the skin and rub on the skin? Orrrrr just try every possible combination once and see what I like the best? :)  Any rules on this...
