Im Keith from Lexington Ky been smoking for a few years I'm currently using a Char-Griller Smokin' Pro with reverse flow mod. About to start an uds build soon.

So the only place Im able to locate a barrel is buy one new..33 bucks not bad and probably worth knowing its never stored anything.
With a new barrel do I still need to burn it out? Im sure the answer is yes but just wanted to make sure.

First time smoking a brisket...first pic is hour 1 second pic is hour 6
Ive got it wrapped and finishing it off now.
Mesquite and apple juice/oil mix ive been spraying on every hour.
Into hour 10 right now at a temp of 168
