I figured I should give a follow up since I posted it in the open forum (prostate biopsy)

Yes! Mine went from 1.8 to 4.5 over a year. 4.5 is just a little over the max for my age, but the rapid rise is what sent me for further testing.

Thanks! And a reminder to all the members who have a prostate, get the PSA test starting at around the age of 50.

I said I'd keep this thread updated. I had another PSA test done yesterday ahead of my Thursday appoint with the radiation doc. My PSA was 1.8 back in October, and is now down to 1.0, so still trending in the right direction for the time being.

    Hopper fire

Makes shutdown take a little longer but I have had burn back happen when going straight to shutdown from high temp.

    Hopper fire

Had some issues with my Camp Chef pellet grill if I do a straight shutdown from high temp. The fire seems to want to work back to the hopper. Now I just dial the temp back with it running, then do the shutdown. Never have had an issue during a cook though.

    Encapsulated Citric Acid

I've played with ECA quite a bit. It needs to be the last ingredient you add to the ground meat, just mixed in to incorporate before stuffing. Using a grinder to stuff is a no-go. If you rupture the capsules before the cooking process releases the citric acid, it ain't going to do its thing...

One of my go to books for curing/sausage making. While not perfect, it's a solid resource.

    Health Insurance Nightmares

Only good thing I have seen so far with Common Spirit is that the providers in the network use carepayment that lets you make reasonable monthly payments on your balance interest free.

    Health Insurance Nightmares

I didn't either, but I did a review of my medicare coverage, and what changes I should make. The agent said I would have gotten jammed with 20% of the cancer treatment costs no matter which carrier I chose. I did update my coverage and will get more money per year for corrective lenses and got...

    Health Insurance Nightmares

Pretty much the same BS as with private insurance. When I said I got only got 80% of my radiation treatments covered, it was through Medicare. None of the Medicare plans cover more than that. On the plus side, my new plan gives me $350.00 towards corrective lenses next year .......

    Health Insurance Nightmares

I don't expect so. Once you reach your plans out of pocket limit, they should cover 100% from there on. I also don't expect it matters if you are paying said out of pocket expense through CarePayment, or what have you. The payment terms are between you and your provider. As far as the insurance...

    Health Insurance Nightmares

I'll just drop this here: https://www.carepayment.com/resources/provider-faq/ I got jammed with a pretty big out of pocket payment from radiation treatments ...... seems about all the insurance plans only cover 80% for cancer treatments. Anyhow, all my providers are in the same network (St...
