Welcome to SMF Cody from the noth side of town (out by the airport). Tell us a little about yourself, your smoker, etc. Hope to smell your smoke rolling across town soon.
Chunks or splits in the sfb. Don't worry about blowing them out, if they are burning, they are smoking. If you smell smoke, you're getting flavor, even if you don't see the smoke. Don't throw out those chips though. They are good mulch for landscaping.
Glad to hear all are well. Hope nobody ruined any meat by having it fall off the smoker. I was in So Cal about an hour north of Victorville for 4 years and only felt 1 quake (a wicked 7.0 out in the desert), but have had 6 of them 5.0+ here in Indiana since I moved back in 2003. Wierd stuff.
Luckily for you, without Qview, you didn't mess up anything. LOL. Anyway, looks may be desired, but when you get down to putting smoke under the grates, it's all abou the flavor. I say that's an excuse to try again this weekend.
Congrats to all of the winners. Thanks to all participants for the great ideas. These will keep me busy for many weekends, and a special thanks to BBQG for intiating the contest, and all your hard work to pull it off.
If there is pain or fever, don't mess around, go to the doctor. If it is just plugged up, flush the outer ear with lukewarm peroxide in a bulb thingy. If the inner ear is stopped (I have this problem alot), use some strong nasal decongestants to help it drain out.
I usually vacuum seal and freeze it. Pulled meats I seal in 2-3 serving size bags. I try to eat more healthy with lots of salads for lunch, with a little pulled chicken or turkey to top it off.
Welcome to SMF Scott. Glad to have you here. I feel your pain as I have a daughter that started driving about 8 mos ago and another that starts in October. Q'ing definitely helps relax me.
