    Did you coat them with mustard first , they seem like they have yellow on them , I coated mine with mustard and than put rub on them.

      Does anyone have a mild ( Not Spicy )rub  recipe for ribs and chicken, I have seen many links but most of them are spicy and seems like that they have a lot of sugar and pepper on it , I just want to mix up my own so not to make it hot , any info. would help.

      OK Bruno ,  I get the understanding that I should have the SFB vent opposite from the wind direction to act as an wind block to not kill the smoking session .

      I added two temp smoker gauges to my Char griller 5050 smoker , is there a way to calibrate them , I purchased these from Home Depot , This afternoon one is showing 90 degrees and the other shows 120 degrees , is this normal for this ????

    OK update , I did get one plate out and the FB baffle side is showing 290 the middle is showing 310 and the left side away from the FB is showing 260 , I may not have to find a Q place after all , anyway with all these beers I drank out of frustration I probably would wind up in a bar instead...
