Looks like a great start to me. You can do it. I'm a long time griller/ smoke dabbler who just got my first smoker a month ago. This site is a great resource. I have also noticed though that a fella can get caught up in a lot of tricks and toys and start losing the fun.
My biggest problem...
Beautiful!!! I've got 2 on that I started a little after midnight. Sipping coffee, watching the smoke roll and the sun rise. Thank you to all who have served so I can enjoy this day.

So I am working on my weekend menu plans and just realized I have a box of rib tips. These are the ones that have already been cut down into small pieces. Before I had my smoker we would bake them until almost done and then finish them with a char on the grill and hit them with some BBQ sauce...

Thanks for the reply and the great info. The door issue makes sense. There is a small ding/ dent about 6" up the side of the box where it looks like it was dropped or hit during delivery. I'll give that a tweak and see. Like I said I don't think its a terrible amount of smoke to lose...
