Well depends what brick you using muratic acid . The firebricks dont need acid maybe the out side 2 course brick to give it that finish . You dont wanna to keep tempering fire brick motor
Oh ye im thinking about how bigger i want the next door opening on top going to be for the racks so i could take them out and clean them every once a while lol. So i dont think ill be going 12x12 maybe 16x16 so there room to take the racks out. Happy thanksgiving hope to see some more smokers...
Well if you decide of painting the door dont paint . I heard that powder coatings is the way to go. Only on the outside not inside cause your cooking food. Abd only stainless steel racks.
Just a tip once you motor the joints wait 2 or 3 days to dry do a row or two or three then let it dry. You could wash only one time after those few days because when you light it up . It will all clear away the stains from the motor on the brick.
i went from this start of project . To the recent one i uploaded. I been almost month and 10 days on this project. Had a lil problem beacuse it had a limestone pad on top covering the blocks . And i found out lime stone no good so i had to break it a part and start from firebrick finsish with...
There you go guys tell me what you think. Im put in a angle beam support to carry up the load to my chamber . But im also hide the angle beam with the firebrick . Then form the outside with normal brick.
