    When I cut the firebox opening I cut it lower so that the top of the sphere would act as a baffle to direct the heat down. Does it work? I'm not sure but it has to help a little bit.

    I smoked 4 butts on the cooker Saturday it took about 10 hours. I forgot to take pictures of the butts on the smoker but here are some after pulled them off and let them sit. I also started the trailer I got the frame squared up and tacked.

    Thanks! It didn't consume to much maybe 20 sticks. I started the fire around and kept it between 250and 150 just to season the smoker. Then maintained around 250 to cook the steaks from 6-9. I was pretty impressed that it didn't use to much wood.

    The grates are in the smoker is seasoned and the first meat came off the smoker this past Saturday. The Pork butt steaks were delicious hopefully this weekend some butts will be smoked. It cooked great and held temps pretty good maybe a 10-15 degree temp difference. Now to build its twin and the...

    I was able to work on the smoker some this weekend. I extended the stacks, got the firebox door welded on and one of the thermometers installed. Can't wait to pressure wash the inside and then season it. Hopefully the first pork butts will hit the grates in the future.
