    I personaly would cut more out of the bottom of the tank. I think you will have a problem adapting the fire box to the existing hole.

    http://www.feldoncentral.com/bbqcalculator.html  here's a smoker caculator for ya Abaralnek.just punch in the numbers and it'll tell you the recommended size of fire box and chimney.

    I use what ever I have in the shop at the time. Tonight it's a charcoal griller with Texas mesquite chunks thrown on for fun and pleasure. Bacholer food tonight.

    I build em' out of compressors all the time Bob. Hard to clean but make good smokers.

    Hey Darbin, one thing to take into consideration when cutting the door is that it's probably going to spring a bit. I know by my own exsperience. I have a pic of one I did on my profile page in my default album. The springing isn't a very big deal but it could leak a bit if steps aren't taken...
