I thought that was kinda strange also. But it runs like I was hoping when I was designing it.

Took a few days off for family time and got a little more done on the pit. Got the meat rack handles on, tilt stops made for the slide out racks, and fire brick laid in the FB.
I ran the calculations and it looked like my intake and exhaust is plenty big. The exhaust is 5 inch inside diameter schedule 40 pipe that is 40 inches long. The intake is 8 inch diameter with 4 pie cuts in it about 2 inches wide at the top of each one. The FB is way more than the calculator...
I spent pretty much all day today working on the smoker. Got the new legs on, got it mounted on the trailer, exhaust stack dampner done. Pretty much all the fab work is done. Now I just need to get a couple thermometers and set a fire in it and see what the temps are gonna do.
Spent about an hour and a half on the trailer and smoker this evening. Got the hole cut in the trailer for the fire box and the smoker on the ground to cut the temporary legs off. Now a little grinding to clean up some cuts and its ready for the trailer. Hoping all the fab work will be done this...
