Aint no thing, not even a chicken wing.

So I landed some gift cards to a new bbq place in town called Moe's at a charity fundraiser.  Turns out they are the best bbq joint in town, although thats not saying much.  I really liked their wings, they smoke them then fry them for a minute to crispy the outsides. So I figured I would try...

First Smoke did not go great, advice needed.

Been thinking a lil about your situation.  Did your charcoal get wet with all the rain we have been having?  AZRon is right, you should set that basket on some bolts nutted through the box, not sit it on bricks.  I am rolling along at 220 right now on a sunny sunday afternoon.  Also, when you...

First Smoke did not go great, advice needed.

Whats up Colorado, I am in Highlands Ranch.  Damn burbs.  At least I have plenty of neighbors to eat my grub. Could be a couple of things keeping your temps down, but I think you should take a look at the smoketstack drop you put in.  If it is too low you wont get good flow from the firebox...

    New grill/smoker dilemma: Char-griller 3001

I hear you there Gary.  I recently came in to a source for a 1/2 firebox and 1/4" box tubing for an RF.  Now I just need to design and fabricate.  Easy, right?

    New grill/smoker dilemma: Char-griller 3001

I have the chargriller duo, its thae gas grill on one side and then the smoker next to it.  With the firebox and everything I thought it would be a sweet concept. Unfortunately piss poor craftsmanship and quality of materials make this a no no.  It seals like a screen door. I have had to mod...

    workin the brisket!

i use the green egg double probe remote thermo. And i tried to change too many things at once.  Definetly should have heated the cue up to temp first.  And not gone withe the minion. She is cruising along nicely at about 205 right now, will be throwing in more coals in a little bit. The fat...
