    Congrats, I just got mine but I'm concerned with the cut and cut out temps during seasoning. When you seasoned yours ant 250, did you keep track of the cut in reps and cut off temps?

    I just got my #2 today and seasoned as per the instruction. While seasoning it I thought I would check the accuracy of the built in thermostat. I ran my probe through the top vent hole and clipped to the side rail for the shelves. The smoker heated up to 280 before it shut off. After it shut off...

    Thank you for the reply. I switched the probes on the transmitter and still had the same reading so from what I can tell the food probe is bad. I just ordered the six ft. cables. I hope they work.

    My meat probe is reading too high. I just put it on the grill and its reading 189. Am I putting it in the wrong spot.
