I was looking for an early Oklahoma Joe and almost bought an older new braunfels before I bought my 1st smoker. Then this 2nd smoker randomly popped up. Small drive to get it but for price I couldn't pass it up. Only one I've seen by me in a long time. Needs to be cleaned and tightened up via...
Sorry guys. I had to pick this one up. Is it considered an addiction after 2 purchases? https://www.smokingmeatforums.com/threads/brinkmann-cimmaron.326558/
Purchased my first smoker recently and it's huge. I posted a different thread on it here and received some great feedback! Well a few days ago I ran across this smaller offset smoker for a great price. It appears to be a Brinkmann Cimmaron. I picked it up today. 16"x16" firebox. 30"x16" cooking...
All good info/input. Thanks! I've been relaxing in AZ the past few days visiting fam. Man it's been cold and rainy over here. Not sure if you got any in your area. We even got some snow on the mountains by us. I was asked why I didn't bring the smoker. They want BBQ 😂
Man that thing is staying...
I get a smoker and now I'm remodeling the backyard?
I decided I didn't like all of the random bricks in my smoker area 😂. So I put new brick under it to match the rest of the area. I put sand down and packed it down like crazy. Laid the brick. All was great. I get back an hour later and the...
My area is full of crazies.
👍🏻
Good info. I'm new to smoking. I wasn't expecting it to be as big as it is. But for the price I would have been an idiot to pass it up. Dirt cheap for my area. We don't see smokers like this around here. The seller had it listed wrong online too. Surprised I even...
Looks like I will be trimming the tree from the nursery nextdoor. Quite a few limbs are hanging over. That and head to the local brick and mortar store for some matching bricks to lay down 😂
I guess linseed oil or veggie oil is common to season the outside of smokers. I'm new to this btw lol. I could sandblast the red paint off and season them.
I did something similar with a tree branch. Not as nice as yours though! I want to get away from wood handles.
The tips are brass. They would clean up pretty good. I have a pile of them my uncle gave me. I hate to ruin old americana but they're not rare.
I could make some out of wood branches. I've done that before on an old grill and a fallen oak branch. I want to get away from wood on the smoker though.
I could drill out the bolts they welded in for the wood handles but I kind of like these horse collar hames lol. Almost like a gear shift. Comfortable to grab too. Maybe cut them roughly 4" long. I doubt they would get hot. Minor cutting and welding. The horseshoes I do have are not big enough.
