I have, it's a nice smoke profile. I go back and forth between it and their 100% hickory.
I have been using a bag of their char hickory lately. It's a little bit spicier version of hickory. Not sure it's going to be a regular smoke though.
We also have to be careful comparing $2000+ hand built grills to $500-700 big box store offerings.
Your mileage should be equivalent to what you spend.
So it's Traegers fault the end user may or may not properly shut down or vacuum the grill out regularly? Hmmm....
The Traeger-hater nation has been popular around here lately.
Wow, I was starting to think I was the only one not into the horn thing.....
If you have some experience, it's hard to argue with the Yoder decision. When I wear this Traeger out, a Yoder would be top 2 or 3 on my list. Good luck let us know what you decide.
Without really knowing much about pellet grills, I bought a Traeger Pro22. All I knew is that I was done with charcoal and electric smoking. Three of my neighbors had Traegers, all made great food, and they couldn't say enough about how much they enjoyed having them.
Six months and many cooks...
I have a couple a these guys around for quick drain jobs. If my auger jammed this would be my first try.

At that price point you have several options. I have a pro22 traeger and love it, 2-3 cooks a weeks, zero issues.
BUT, if I were looking in the $1k and over bracket, a Rec Tec would be hard to argue against.
A $400 Pit Boss makes just as good as food.
I'm always fearful of "all in one" machines. It always seems to compromise something, somewhere.
The Louisiana seems to have decent amount of OK to not OK reviews. I would be very cautious.
I would say Camp Chef with sear box, but CC has been unpopular here lately. It's hard recommending anything.
Sounds great man!
I still surprised you had repeat failures on the CC. I guess life's a journey.
I haven't happened to see much on this grill here, so please keep us posted.
Those would be your "smoke" settings. My older Pro smoke setting bounces around between 150-180 while on smoke.
You should make plenty of smoke in that range.
It's cool they seem to be able to accurately hold those temps now. That would be handy for bacon.
I'd say it's time to get cooking. Let...
These new traegers have variable speed fans and augers, so I don't know what to tell you to expect.
I would video it and give traeger a call ASAP.
My pro22 smokes like crazy from everywhere on start up, but never through the pellet box. Apples/orange comparison though.
Keep us posted.
I would verify your temps with it against a thermometer you trust. "Calibrated" or not, it doesn't hurt to make sure everyone is providing consistent temps.
I got my pellet grill in January. I have been hitting it pretty hard trying to dial in on some standard stuff. Wife is getting tired of the smoke flavor on everything. I've learned to keep it modest. The weather is about to turn here, so the gas Weber is coming out of the shed soon. I expect to...
