    First Pellet - need advice

A pitboss with a PID upgrade would be a competitive and accurate rig and on the bottom side of your budget.

My really bad experience(s) with my new Camp Chef

    2nd attempt at Ribs

I would say your rib game is looking pretty solid. Great looking ribs! It's always a huge relief when you have a good baseline method figured out.

    Are all pellets created equal?

That's great to hear. I have a bag of char/hickory I haven't had a chance to try yet. I'm still sorting out cooking on these pellet grills, I have been a little nervous about overdoing the smoke. I had had great success with LJ cherry and competition blend pellets. Once the weather finally...

Traeger Quality Control - going downhill?

I'm still learning the pellet grill process personally, but mechanically speaking, my pro22 has been flawless. If I had to do over, I would have maybe gone with the Camp Chef and sear box. Maybe. Once the weather gets nice, I plan to really put some miles on my Traeger. I tend to be fairly easy...

    Are all pellets created equal?

I would NOT be cooking with generic heating pellets.

    Are all pellets created equal?

My local Rural King has Lumber Jack back in stock for $9.99/20#. Great pellets for a great price. I might have to Amazon a bag of the char hickory pellets though.

DIY Downdraft - Traeger Big Tex

How has this mod helped/hurt your grilling performance. I read mixed/inconclusive reviews on how these mods work. I have considered making something for mine, but my pro22 has the shelf to work around, so the machining would be a little involved. I was considering machining something up that...

    RecTec or big box store?

Have you owned a pellet grill before? What is your grilling experience? If you have confidence your going to use the hell out of it, maybe the rectec is worth it. But, if you keep it covered up and have any decent amount of respect for it, a pitboss or traeger will last years for you and make...

Pellet burn rate for RecTec 590 Stampede

Lumberjack has some interesting blends available too. I primarily use 100% cherry or hickory, but today I ordered a bag of char hickory. It's supposed to be 20% charcoal. Curious to see if that's noticeable.

Pellet burn rate for RecTec 590 Stampede

I usually get Lumber Jack cherry or competition blend pellets on Amazon. I've been getting 40# for $33. Shipping is free if you have prime.

Has anyone used the "Heavy D" Stick burner attachment?

This is what I was thinking. If I wanted a tedious experience, I would still be running my ugly drum smoker. To each their own though.

    Pellet dust in grill?

I noticed ash in my Traeger the first couple cooks. Once things got seasoned up, I notice it a lot less. Get a little funk going and I bet you'll be ok.

Should I Pull the Trigger on Traeger Deal?

I've had a Traeger Pro22 about two months. Loving it so far. Two of my neighbors have Traegers and love them. That helped me decide to spend a little extra. Things seem very similar in the lower/mid price ranges. I think they probably all work the same, burn pellets... $1000+ and pro models...

Need a new sealer, hunter style duty

Vacmaster Pro350 here. Great machine, size is very manageable. Price is reasonable considering it isn't a full on commercial unit.
