    Need more smoke in electric smoker

    My girlfriend just bought me a new electric smoker as I am fairly new to smoking. It seems to go through the chip tray in an hour or so but I do not get much smoke flavor. What am I doing wrong?

    I smoked 5 chickens today, and they were cooked perfectly. They came out nice and juicy, with a nice dark outside color. Although I had lots of smoke the entire time, it hardly got into the meat.
